Putting Black History on the Record

We're building a genealogy, history, and archival show that takes the work out of the database and puts it on the screen. Real records. Real families. Real stories that were meant to stay buried.

This is the record, corrected. And we need folks who believe in this work to help us get it on film.

Why this matters

Records don't save themselves. Stories don't tell themselves. For generations, the history of Black families in this country was hidden, misfiled, or destroyed on purpose. A lot of it is still sitting in boxes, in basements, in courthouses that hope nobody asks.

This show exists to pull that history into the light. Episode by episode, document by document. We put it somewhere people can actually see it, hear it, and feel it. Not behind a paywall. Not buried in a database nobody knows about. On the record, on the screen, for everybody.

Every episode is a record unburied. Every family we feature is a story returned. That's the whole point.

Why your donation matters

Filming a show like this costs real money. Cameras, travel, editing, archival access, and the time it takes to do this work right. None of it is cheap, and none of it happens by accident.

Your support keeps the show independent and keeps the history honest. No sponsors telling us what we can and can't say. No watering down the hard parts. Just the records, the families, and the truth, funded by people who actually care.

Production

Cameras, audio, lighting, and the gear it takes to film history the right way.

Travel

Getting to the records, the families, and the places where this history actually lives.

Editing

Turning hours of footage into episodes people can actually watch and share.

Archival Access

Fees, copies, and the access needed to dig into records that are not free.

What your donation covers

This is a stake in the work. When you back the show, you're part of how it gets made. Here's what each level covers.

$20

One Day On Air

Covers a single day of studio space. One day, one conversation, one family’s records digitized.

$150

One Week In The Room

A full week of studio access. Multiple recording sessions, multiple families served.

$300

Half A Month

Two weeks of Tomorrow’s Secret production, live genealogy work, and S.A.W.F.T. programming.

$600

Month Sponsor

You just covered a whole month of rent. A month of episodes, digitization sessions, and community history saved. Month Sponsors get a shoutout on air (with permission).

$900

The Match

You matched us dollar for dollar. This tier locks in the space and puts your name (or your ancestor’s name, if you’d rather honor them) in the launch episode credits.

Give any amount you want. These are just what each level covers. Every dollar lands in the work.

Want to be on an episode?

Got a story that belongs on the record? A family document that deserves to be seen? A brick wall you've been staring at for years? We want to talk to you.

If you're open to appearing on an episode, whether it's your family's research, a record you've found, a local archive worth spotlighting, or expertise you want to share, reach out. We're building this with real people, not just talking heads.

Come to us in Vegas

We film in Las Vegas. If you're local, or willing to travel to us, we'd love to host you. Tell us what you've got and let's get it on camera.

We come to you

Can't make it to Vegas? Especially for organizations, archives, churches, or community groups, we can come to you. Tell us where you are and what you're sitting on, and we'll figure it out.

Pitch a story, book a filming day, or ask about coming on the show. You can also email us directly at Chey.BristerEP@gmail.com.

Help us put this history on the screen

Every dollar gets us closer to the next episode. Another record unburied, another family's story told. If this work matters to you, this is how you help it happen.
